Thank You All for Your Prayers!

Hello All,
Joe and I would like to thank you all so much for your prayers and support in this very difficult time. We are finally at home and Joe is "on the mend".
Joe came home from the hospital last Sunday (6-1) but we were at the hospital 3 days last week due to a HUGE kidney stone. The Dr. said there was NO way Joe could pass it on his own, so Joe had outpatient surgery on Friday to "obliterate" the stone. That 7 1/2 mm stone seemed to cause Joe more pain than anything else he had been through. He is doing 200% better now that the stone is gone!
Joe still has the arch bars in his mouth from when his mouth was wired shut. Those are scheduled to be removed tomorrow in yet another outpatient procedure. We are still not quite sure if his mouth and teeth line up okay, we'll have to wait for more of the numbness to go away. He is finally getting his appetite back...he's been eating 5 or 6 meals a day lately. (After losing 30 pounds, he can eat whatever he wants-whenever he wants!)
Joe will begin occupational and physical therapy today for his right arm. It seems that he regains a little bit of motion every few days. Still nothing from the upper arm, but he is now able to make his fingers spread out. That task was absolutely impossible just a few days ago. We were not terribly impressed with the ortho. that saw Joe at the hospital, so we are in the process of getting in to see a different one. We will keep you all posted!
Again, thank you all so much! I know that all of your support, prayers, and well wishes for Joe really make a difference in how fast he is recovering. I am told on a daily basis, by every kind of Dr. you can imagine, just how lucky we are and what a miracle healer my husband is! Thank You! Our love to all...

Prayers and best wishes to you and your family

Hi Joe-
I don't know if you remember me or not (Hollie's second cousin), but it doesn't matter. What matters is that you get better. My husband & I are praying for your speedy recovery. This way you can come to Phoenix more often and we can have a better reunion.
Holly, don't let him worry about anything.
I know your Grandma Creach is worried sick, but she will pray for you and I know has many prayer chains going for you.
Take care and god bless,

We Love You and Our Prayers are With You

Joe, I am so sorry. I couldn't imagine what you are going through. I'm glad you have my sissy and neice and nephew there to help you in a speedy recovery. I don't understand why this happened to such a great person Joe, but you are going to be okay. Take it one day at a time. It will hopefully get easier day by day. There are many prayers going out to you right now as you know. The Lord will help give you strenth daily. Allow him to work with you and help you heal faster. My thought are with you and the family. I wish I could be there with you. We love you very much. I'm working with Aubrey on saying Uncle Joe. (wink wink... just kidding Hol :oP ) You have a neice and nephew that are waiting to wrestle with you next time they see you and a sister that is waiting to give hugs galore!!! We love you. If you need anything, we're only a phone call away. Hugs and forehead kisses. We miss you!!!!

Hey Joe

Hope by the time you receive this you are feeling much better. You are on four prayer chains (Texas, PA, CA, AZ). Sounds like you are making a miracle-like recovery and it couldn't happen to a greater guy. We have been so happy that Hollie found you and you two got together. Looks like you'll now be the "bionic couple".

We are continuing to pray that this surgery will fix you up and that you will be back to normal in the not too distant future. Hang in there - we're thinking of you and wishing you well every day.

Love, Grandma and Grandpa Lestikow

hey joe!

hey joe! i hope that things are getting better for you. i just recieved the most recent news from ryan. i think that it is important to remember that no matter what set backs you may have on your road to recovery keep in mind the ultimate goal: a complete recovery. keep working hard to get yourself better like you already have, and once you are back to normal any set backs you have had will mean little. keep working hard at trying to get better joe. but not too hard that you end up hurting yourself in the process. my prayers are with you brother. i know that i don't do that often but you have them. and hopes for a complete and speedy recovery. get better man! i'm thinking of you, and the rest of the family from over here, and i'll see you when i get back.

love, sean st. george

More than I could ever ask for!

Joe,

The day before your accident i was reminded to treat someone i don't care for much as if he would not be here the next day. I was shaken to the core when i heard the news. you have reminded me how fragile and precious each day we have is...and I suppose i have never had the chance to tell you the way i love you. Perhaps, that day will come soon, where I can tell you face to face. For now, be comforted in the knowledge that there are more people than you can imagine that know who you are and the trials you are going through. I think of you every morning when I awake and I wonder now if anyone is taking as good of care of Hollie as you...you both have health concerns that scare me more than I am willing to admit. Next time I am there ( I checked plane tix this morning) remind me to tell you what I was too chicken to say on here....i guess I maybe never told you....but I do love you. And perhaps that will be one more thing you and Hollie have in common...you both will never know how much I truly love you.
All my love, hugs and genuine prayers to you and your family during this time.
p.s. you are on two church prayer lists right now and my boss and several friends here have been asking me daily how you are. Yesterday, my boss asked about how you were and later I said to her...thank you so much, really...thank you for asking...it means so much to me. all my love...and as Hol would say...the very rare mushy-gushy-ness you will see out of me! Love, Teri

We are in awe of you....

Hi Joe,

You have to be the most amazing person we know!! Hands Down!! One week ago, after hearing the news of your accident, we stayed close to the phone, praying so hard our brains and hands hurt. Now, just one week later, you are almost ready to head home to finish up your recovery.
We have always thought you were one outstanding brother-in-law and uncle, but this week, we have been reminded just how amazingly strong you are and how lucky we are to have you in our lives.

We love you so very much and wish you a restful recovery at home with the family.

Love,
Heather, Bobby & Aiden

Hello from Michigan!

Hi, Joe & Hollie...

Marty & I are in Michigan visiting our families and enjoying the diversity of trees again- you know-maples, oaks, hardwoods! It is great but the weather has been "cold" @ 40's to low 60's, wind and cloudy. We could be home with better weather in Alaska! We miss our "family" in Alaska...those who are chosen rather than blood related. That brings us to the St. George clan of which you belong...we are praying for you & loving you from afar. Can't wait to see you when we return and hope you continue to thrive and heal...God is soooo amazing in His grace. Keep the peace...

Hugs~

Cher & Marty
